and you dropped the note and we changed key
you changed yourself and i changed me
i really didn’t see us singing through this
then you screamed the bridge
and i cried the verse
and our chorus came out unrehearsed
and you smiled the whole way through it
i guess maybe that’s what’s worse
I’ve been playing this song on repeat and I’m still not sick of it. I so love this song especially the part of Jason Lancaster. Lol. I have noticed that there was really a drastic change in the music style of Mayday Parade when Jason left. But I find Mayday’s new album, Monsters in the Closet, really good. I downloaded Mayday’s old albums - A Lesson In Romantics and Tales Told By Dead Friends - because I am currently head over heels with Jason’s raspy voice. Hehee. I don’t know but I go for guys with raspy voice (and drummers too.. and I have a thing with guys who have ‘mapormang’ hair. lololol) Anyhuu, I am having some sort of “weird sunday feels” again. I am completely clueless as to why I am feeling this way. I am just hoping that when I wake up tomorrow, I am completely better.
dance with me..
Of curiosity, confusion and disappointment
I’ve been randomly playing the songs ( the ones I usually listen to, like those of Holiday Parade’s, He Is We’s, Every Avenue’s, Tonight Alive’s, Mayday Parade’s, etc. ) that I have in my phone for quite an hour and a half now. And just half an hour ago, as I was scrolling through the songs I have, I saw Go Radio’s Goodnight Moon on my list. I have only learned about that song through my brother when he was playing it out loud last week - I haven’t even played that song on my own yet. When I first heard Goodnight Moon, I asked my brother what band sang it and he told me that it’s Go Radio.. and I was like "really? I thought it’s Mayday Parade.. because the vocalist sounds like the drummer of Mayday Parade.. you know, the one who sings with Derek Sanders in the music video of Miserable at Best" and I left my curiosity-slash-confusion hanging just like that.
It is only a while ago that I learned about the names of the members of Mayday Parade.. it is only Derek Sanders that I really know.. yea that pretty much sucks. I don’t really pay attention to the name of the members of the bands I listen to, it’s only the music and the chills that their songs give me that I care about. Hmm so yes, it is Jake Bundrick (drummer of Mayday Parade) who’s in the video of Miserable at Best. I also learned the name of Mayday’s past member - Jason Lancaster.
Out of curiosity-slash-confusion, I found myself searching the name of the vocalist of Go Radio and guess what? he’s name is Jason Lancaster. Haha. It all makes sense to me now as to why Go Radio sounds like Mayday Parade and why the vocalist of Go Radio sounds like the guy in Miserable at Best. Bundrick was only lip-syncing the voice of Lancaster in the video. It is really Lancaster who sang Miserable at Best and not Bundrick. It’s just that Lancaster left Mayday and started his own band which is Go Radio but Mayday still uses the voice of Lancaster in some of its records, but of course it is Bundrick who sings the part of Lancaster during live performances. And yea, the reason why Go radio sounds like Mayday is because Lancaster was the lyricist of Mayday before.
So all this time I’m actually quite right. There’s no wonder why I have mistaken Go Radio as Mayday Parade. But you know what’s makes me upset atm? Go Radio is already disbanded. Ha. Ha. They broke up just last month. Lancaster decided to settle with his wife and do solo records. I thought I could add a new entry on the bands I listen to but noooo-ooooh. Too bad they already broke up. Idk why but my heart’s breaking right now tho I only learned about their existence just recently. </3
Oh cheeseballs. This is the con of being just a casual fan of a band. I only know their music and not their story.. the very reason why I am always left dumbfounded whenever I learn things like this.
Baked some macaroons for merienda. :)
A responsible student is expected to study her notes a day before her exams. But I am not a responsible student. Lol. I really planned to study today but mahn, I found myself mixing half a stick of butter, half a cup of light brown sugar & white sugar, an egg, a cup of all purpose flour & mashed bananas, a teaspoon of baking powder and a quarter of a cup buttermilk, and preheating our oven. Huehuehue.
This is what I hate about myself - I easily get distracted. I can’t fight the urge of doing non-academic stuffs whenever I have an acad-related thing to do. Like what I am doing right at this moment - I am in front of my laptop busy typing my mini adventure in the kitchen today and slightly ranting about the unfavorable side of meh.
But, today’s baking adventure is definitely worth it! After 123456789 times of attempt to bake something good, I was finally able to do something that I can be proud of. Baking is an exact science you know.. it takes a cup of practice and a barrel of patience. And after my numerous failed attempts, I now know how to deal with our oven.
So basically, baking has taught me something.. that I should observe patience and perseverance in everything that I do. Hehe. Hello reviewer na ulet. Babuuu. ♥
THIS IS AMAZING! To be honest, I already set my hopes down for another movie entry of C.S. Lewis’ The Chronicles of Narnia after the disappointment that many people felt because of the ‘messed up’ adaptation of The Voyage of the Dawn Treader.
I’ve been longing for this to happen for over a year so this is such an amazing news although I really wanna see The Magician’s Nephew on the big screen. :-) Anyway, as long as the movie is the same with the book, it’s no biggie. I won’t be able to see the Pevensie children again, tho. But I hope that it’s still Will Poulter who’s gonna play the role of Eustace Scrubb. I wonder who’s gonna be Jill Pole..
I’m almost done with Hayley! Jeremy’s next!
Still trying to develop my own style.
